Subway Queensway
Welcome to Subway Queensway, a noteworthy addition to the dynamic culinary landscape of London. Located at 66 Queensway, Westminster W2 3, this establishment offers a fresh twist on classic sandwiches and salads, catering not only to locals but to the many visitors who frequent this vibrant area.
As a food reviewer at Pops Cafe, I’m excited to share my impressions of this particular branch of Subway. While Subway is renowned for its customizable subs, the experience at Subway Queensway has elicited mixed responses from patrons, revealing both striking strengths and areas for improvement.
- Menu Highlights: The menu includes delectable vegetarian options, including a meat-free selection that appeals to health-conscious diners. Their beverages, like the refreshing Robinson’s Refresh’d Raspberry & Apple, provide the perfect complement to your meal.
- Hygiene Practices: While many customers appreciate the practice of changing gloves after each sub filling, some reviews have raised concerns about hygiene and staff interactions, particularly regarding glove usage which could be enhanced for better safety.
- Atmosphere and Staff Interaction: Subway Queensway boasts a unique vibe. However, several reviews have pointed out instances of rudeness among staff, particularly under busy conditions. This inconsistency can overshadow the potential for a pleasant dining experience.
- Location Convenience: Nestled in a busy Westminster area, Subway Queensway is easily accessible, making it a convenient stop for both quick lunches and leisurely meals. However, the service speed during peak hours can vary, impacting overall satisfaction.
In conclusion, Subway Queensway presents an interesting case. While its potential is clear—offering tasty options in a prime location—the experience can be impacted by staff dynamics and adherence to hygiene practices. My hope is that with continued training and better management, this Subway branch can elevate its service standards to match the quality of food it seeks to provide. After all, dining out should be a joyful experience for everyone involved!

The guy putting the salads and at till was very helpful, smiley and provided a good service. One guy looked depressed when cutting the bread and it seemed he was the manager on the day. Very bizarre. This subway is halal and they also change gloves after each sub filling which was great to see. They have seating available too.Vegetarian options: Have got meat free options

The person handling the sandwich used the same pair of plastic gloves to handle the bread, oven, touch screen, vegetables (imagine touching lettuce and tomatoes with the same gloves that was opening and shutting the oven), sauce bottles and payment machine. I feel like the plastic gloves should be changed after each step (before toasted, after toasted, and sauce bottles). It is unhygienic and I didnt know what to say. I ended up not eating my sandwich as I was too grossed out by the thought.
